The whole part of this chapter of the book is Winston is currently searching to find how the old world was because he does not believe the government. He eventually gets into a conversation with an old man. The old man is asked if time was better back then than now but the old man does not directly answer anything just telling old stories. He also finds out that this lady is following him.
Gulliver‘s Travels pgs 79-85
Gulliver begins with his account of Glumdalclitch, the daughter of the farmer who found him at the beginning of this section of the novel. He praises and compliments her on her many skills and her treatment of him. The Farmer has a neighbor visit to see Gulliver perform a few tricks and the neighbor gives the farmer the idea to take Gulliver out on the road for money. Glumdalclitch goes with them to teach the protagonist more of the language as well as keep him safe. They travel through many towns and cities and he is shown to hundreds of people. This portion of my reading ended with their arrival in the metropolis where he was preparing to once again perform for profit.
I think the most important aspect of my reading today was his relationship with Glumdalclitch. She is his primary caregiver and teacher and he obviously has much respect for her despite her being much younger than him.

after the main character was summoned , the police started to investigate the murder of the landlady. Though this wasn’t the only murder he caused it was the first so it was prioritized. The detectives soon came to agree that it had to of been one of her customers. After that realization, other renters began to give names and stated their whereabouts at that hour. Somehow the detectives go into the main character’s “cabin” and see how messy it is. They said it looked alot like the crime scene. Soon a new character was introduced. His sister’s fiance. He knew about the letter Raskolnikov got from his mother and came right after he got it. He definitely looked a lot different than crime and punishment Raskolnikov . He was all put together and very handsome.
